Who Are Lions?
Lions meet the needs of Grayslake area community and the world.
We are part of a 1.35 million members in 206 countries and geographic areas are different in many ways, but we share a core belief – community is what we make it.
The women and men of the Grayslake Lions Club are also organized as the Grayslake Lions Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.”

Ready to Help, Worldwide
Whenever a Lions club gets together, problems get smaller. And communities get better. That's because we help where help is needed – in our own communities and around the world – with unmatched integrity and energy.
Our 45,000 clubs and 1.35 million members make us the world's largest service club organization.
We're also one of the most effective. We get the job done.
We recently:
- help the Grayslake High Schools delivery Christmas food baskets with over 100 area families.
- sponsored a holiday party at Winchester house.
- Sponsored 'peace poster' contest and our winning poster drawn by Ryan from Frederick school was our winner and we have great hopes of being District winner. Ryan did an awesome job as did our runner up Laura. Nice job Lion Detweiler
Everywhere we work, we make friends. With children who need schoolbooks, with seniors who need transportation and with people we may never meet.
We're led by talented, dedicated volunteer leaders from around the world. And, we're supported by the Lions Club International Foundation, which helps to fund Lions humanitarian projects and Lions of Illinois Foundation and part of the District 1F Lions Club
The Lions International for both Lions Clubs International and the LCIF is in Oak Brook, Illinois, USA.
